Since the release of his 2022 critically-acclaimed debut record Blurry, RIP Swirl, born Luka Seifert, has been crafting his melancholic soundscape, fusing his roles as a producer and DJ in Berlin’s club scene with his enduring love, and knowledge, of the guitar and analog recording techniques. He followed up with his one-off single, 2023’s “Let’s Make Out”, which featured Ydegirl. In 2025, he released his sophomore album ‘Perfectly Blue’ featuring vocals from Tanukichan, Winter, untitled (halo), Maria Somerville, and Alias Error. He also released EP, ‘Emo Regulation’, with Ydegirl.
