Lecx is a 23-year-old first-generation Filipino-American artist/writer/producer from San Diego. He executive produced Jean Dawson’s critically acclaimed debut Bad Sports while the two roomed together at Cal State University. In 2019, he was chosen to be part of the NTS artist mentorship program under the creative guidance of Mount Kimbie, and has since collaborated with Channel Tres, Deb Never, The Hellp, and a myriad of other artists in the indie rock, hip hop, reggaeton, house/UK garage, metal, and pop worlds, all the while maintaining a wholly unique sonic signature of his own. His wide-ranging influences span from My Chemical Romance to Bad Brains, Wu-Tang Clan, Justice, Gwen Stefani, and Kanye West.

This year, Lecx released his first EP, Face Plants, and standalone single “Crooked Smile” (Terrible Records). 2021 will bring his debut album Bundok, “a diary entry to express every emotion through an exploration of ethnic identity.”
