48thST is a producer and jazz musician. His work with Chynna Rogers on tracks such as “Leo Season,” “ASMR,” and “MOOD” amplified his dark and psychedelic hip-hop sound to the world. Born in Virginia to a Moroccan mother and an American father, he was promptly exposed to an abundance of musical genres. At just 3 years old, following in the footsteps of his musician father, 48thST picked up the bass guitar, and live instrumentation remains an integral part of his sound. Other production credits include A$AP ANT, Eric Doa, Treez Lowkey, Zuukou Mayzie, Di-Meh, and Natalie. He also releases music with his own Sunband, where he collaborates with artists like Danny Watts. 48thST draws inspiration from Norfolk, Richmond, and Morocco, and credits these places in developing his musical ear.
